RE: Moving from FL to NC, How much will I pay?

In the county I live in in N.C. (Yancey) I paid $ $80.00 for my personalized truck plate and $140.00 on my $28,000 Truck and $110 on our TT that was valued at $19,000 (I used low NADA). Tried to get them to give me $28,000 for my truck (book was $24000). Gave it all up and plated them in Florida. NO taxes,$34 for tt plate, $60 for 9900lb truck plate and did I say NO TAXES? Not only that, I'm 71, totally disabled (heart attack) and NO HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION because we make over $19,000 per year!!. Trying to sell house and moving back to Florida. Been here for ten years.

RE: No Perfect Trailer Tires out there

I run Maxxis ST225 75R 15 E on my 9900-10000 TT. Plenty of cushion weight wise. I pull at 62MPH or there abouts.

RE: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Dodge dealer

I must be one of the more fortunate ones who has had no problems on my 2005 QC CTD 4X4 48RE automatic. That and my trouble free Savoy LX 2006 TT. 67500 on truck.

RE: $175/Month For Covered Storage!!!!!

My BIL has a mini-storage facility in Florida and he only charges $1.00 plus tax per day. Lots of TT/fivers/MH parked there (open storage). He's now in Alaska on your dime!! My sister passed last year and he still travels around in his 38foot Monaco.

RE: Tucson Dealer won't honor E-Bay Auction- Advice

I strongly disagree with the statement no selers negatives. Recently I sold a USED 990 mile 1980 collectable motorcycle on Ebay for $11000 Buy It Now. Buyer went to pick it up and made some outrageous claims that it wasn't NEW. Never stated it was , but 990 miles!. I (the seller) got a Negative, but only thing I could do was go to Sellers Dispute and file for a refund of fees. Only thing he got was a Not Paying Strike against him. Relisted and immediately sold it for the $11000 within 15 minutes.Should have been able to give him a negative as before. I still do Ebay, but you just have to be carefull. My worst experience in 9 ebay years. JMHO

RE: computer crash

I got over 900 "Trojans" last year on our PC when down loading music on Lime Wire apparently. Seems that they can "piggy back" in when your firewall is down. I'm on dial up so had to turn off firewall at times to expidite. Only an hour at a time, but it was enough.

RE: sway trouble, I need some insight

My BFGs on my 2500 CTD QC 4X4 were all over the place usually. Replaced with Cooper Es after 25000 miles. Truck settled down. Also have Maxxis Bighorns and it's still pretty smooth/no wander. JMHO Got about 40K on Coopers and still look fairly good. Have the Maxxis waiting in the wings when they're worn out.

RE: New Truck ?????

Go for the DODGE and auto. Up to 2006 had the 4 speed + OD 48RE and mine's never given me a bit of trouble. Pulls like an elephant. The later 6 speeds are also strong. Don't let somone who doesn't have one blow smoke up your you know what. Rhymes with bass. I have 68,000 miles on my 2005. I pull a 9500-10000 lb TT and it works as advertised. 5.9's give better milage than the 6.7 due to not having all the smog junk on them.

My local Tractor Supply (Asheville, N.C.) have them @$299.99. My Advance Auto Parts (Parts America) will match the price right here where I live. Burnsville, N.C.

Our table stays UP and NEVER comes down. Just the tiniest bit of wobble, but afterall, it's been the same way since day one.JMHO

$16000 off what? Maybe the price was jacked up enough beforehand to reach that "figure".

RE: Suburban 2500 - new or what?

I believe that only the 6.0 gasser is the largest in a new surburban. Too thirsty if you ask me. I'd go for a crew cab (mega cab Dodge) with a CTD auto. JMHO

RE: Can we talk about bunks?

You'll be needing a bigger truck in my estimation. Dry weight of the Rockwood will quickly increase as you load gear. The battery/gas tanks/etc haven't even been added yet and what ever the five of you weigh out at goes with it so as you can see, you'll be overweight before you even pull out of the parking lot with a fiver and only your F150. JMHO, but what do I know? Lighter bumper pull might work better.

RE: Excessive left rear tire wear on tow vehicle

Because of it's the "powerside" of your trucks rear end. Need to rotate the rear tires more often so you get more even wear. JMHO

RE: Negotiating a Spree 324bhs

Got a little "itch" for a new TT, but after considering that my 2006 30ft is suiting our purposes and have absolutely NO complaints with it, decided that I really love my #123 month payments for 9 more years. Our deal was really great when we bought it. JMHO
